Rick Lewis

Rick Lewis is an inspiration to drummers around the world!  He's traveled all around the world performing and has played with some of the greatest singers/ and musicians on the market.  He plays with a double kick on the bass drum and to me, that's one of the most unique and impressive ways to play and it adds a whole new deminsion to his craft.  According to Rick's biography,
Known to be one of the best “pocket drummers” in Mississippi, Rick Lewis has been playing drums in funk, blues and R&B bands for over 30 years. Being a “pocket drummer” has made him a desired player for many well known musicians. He has played with Sam “The Bluesman” Myers, Willie Clayton, Sonny Ridell, Eddie Cotton, Carl Sims, Latimore, Dorothy Moore, LUCILLE, Dwight T. Ross, The Juvenators, Pat Brown, Little Johnny Taylor , King Edward, and David Lee Durham to name a few. He toured with LUCILLE in Greece and played with David Lee Durham and the True Blues Band at the Lucerne Blues Festival. Rick has played for Dorothy Moore as her regular drummer for several years and has played for her at the Chicago Blues Festival, the Monterey Blues Festival, the Willie Dixon Wang Dang Doodle Festival, the B.B. King Homecoming Festival and the Lucerne Blues Festival.
