Grady Champion
I remember the first time I heard Grady Champion sing Smokestack Lighting. He tore it up! Grady has his own unique sound and when he sang, "Ahh Ooooooooo" part, he made it his own. Lol! Grady has been compared to Sonny Boy Williamson and you can hear it all over his album, Payin For My Sins. Grady's high-energy singing and harmonica playing really shows on his version of Don't Start Me to Talkin. His revved-up, soulful vocalizing and the charm and insight he brings to his
songwriting in numbers like the campy "My Rooster Is King" and the
classic-sounding tale of infidelity "You Got Some Explaining to Do" (co-written
by his producer Dennis Walker, who helped Robert Cray reach national fame) mark
Grady as an important new talent. His latest album, Shanachie Days has been on the blues charts all across the nation and he's working on a new album called "Tough Times Don't Last" will be dropped February
5, 2013. Grady said, "This upcoming album will let you know that "Tough times Don't
Last, but Tough People Do"!!!!!
Grady Champion has a show on 12/21/2012 at 08:00 PM at Underground 119 in Jackson, MS http://www.reverbnation.com/c./poni/161070937
