Damien Wash

Damien Wash has one of the most beautiful voices you can ever hear.  His voice has a smooth, soothing tone that I could listen to for hours.  Damien also runs his own studio called Washboard Studio in Oxford, MS and it's were Bill Perry, Jr. is recording his New album called Phantoms.  Damien Wash is the Director of Choral Music at Oxford Middle School.  According to Damien's profile, he was recently named Oxford Middle School "Teacher of the Year".  After studying Choral Music at ECCC, Damien transferred to the University of Mississippi where he received his degree in Music Education.  While at Ole Miss, he was a member of the Ole Miss Concert singers and the elite Chamber Singers.  Damien has been the director of Choral Music at Oxford Middle School for four years.His young singers placed first at the Music in the Parks Festival in Atlanta and have continually received superior ratings at district and state festivals

 

Once an active musician at Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ in Newton, MS, gospel music has always been an integral part of Damien's career.  He has been choirmaster and pianist at East St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Abbeville, MS for eight years and serves as adjunct musician and guest soloist to many churches in the Oxford area.

Damien attributes his success to his parents, his extended family, and a supportive Newton County community.
